Does a property owner have a duty to provide security guards in Texas?

A property owners in most cases does not have a duty to provide security guards. However if they do provide security guards they’re required to provide professional security guards. In one of our cases involving a convenience store the security guard had never been trained and in fact the security guard had an extensive criminal record. We were able to prove that the convenience store went out and hired the cheapest security guard available who is completely unqualified to protect the patrons of that business and obtain a substantial settlement for our injured client.
